Kitchen Porter – REQ002012

An excellent opportunity is now available at the University of the West of Scotland within the Catering Department.

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our existing team working within our campus food service areas, coffee shop and retail spaces.

As part of the Catering and Hospitality Team the post holder will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of food preparation areas and catering equipment in accordance with environmental health legislation and University standards.

The post holder will be required to unload deliveries and keep the store rooms organised.

The post holder will also support the Hospitality Team with both on and off campus deliveries and logistics contributing to the delivery of an effective and efficient catering and hospitality service throughout the University.

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic team player with a love for taking pride in their work. Previous experience within a retail catering environment would be an advantage, along with a willingness to learn new skills.
