The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the College of Arts & Science at GUST invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Arabic Language and Literature to start in Fall 2023. The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in Arabic with an active research record in related fields and has teaching experience and specialization in Arabic Literature. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.
The ideal candidate who should possess excellent communication skills in English must be ambitious, self-motivated, and hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team where scientific creativity is essential. The applicant must have completed a Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature from a reputable university with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. Successful candidates should have published good quality research papers and are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals and work in close collaboration with the research centers of the Graduate and Research office at GUST.
