The School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership at the University of Bradford is seeking to appoint to a range of academic leadership roles at the Associate Professor level, as we have embarked on a period of positive change, growth and investment, coinciding with the appointment of a new Head of School.

Each role holder will contribute significantly to the School's Leadership Team, providing strategic and operational leadership and management of a core professional area within the School.  Identifying and leading on priorities; and ensuring that governance, structures, processes, and resources are in place within the School.   You also will lead, manage and nurture the development of a staff team and will be expected to deputise for the Head of School when required.

You will demonstrate a willingness to be future orientated whilst contributing to the management of the School, making use of the different development opportunities available to you.  You will contribute to learning and teaching activities aligned with subject expertise, and you will become involved in research opportunities alongside the work of our research Professors.

Our internationally renowned applied health research undertaken in partnership with the NHS is impacting positively on health outcomes locally and regionally and is contributing to knowledge of international significance.  Colleagues from our faculty helped to establish the Born in Bradford cohort student and continue to lead many of its recent developments.  The University has invested significantly in high-quality research facilities and space such as the Digital Health Enterprise Zone (DHEZ, in collaboration with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council), and the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, Bradford Institute for Health Research, and the Wolfson Institute.

We recognise that people are our most valuable asset and pride ourselves on employing individuals who put learners at the heart of everything they do, ensuring that the provision of excellence in teaching, learning, research and enterprise is a priority.  We are committed to developing our team members. The University of Bradford offers a fantastic academic career progression framework - the Bradford Academic: Career Journey - to support your professional development and ongoing career progression.

We welcome applicants who identify as being from BAME and LGBT+ communities who are currently underrepresented across our teaching and research teams who could be positive role models for our students and colleagues.  We value diverse voices and lived experiences.
