• Fixed term, full-time appointment (5 years) + Level E underlying appointment

The University of Wollongong is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic individual with an outstanding track record in research, teaching, governance and management, to provide vision and leadership for its School of Law. The primary purpose of the position is to cultivate a dynamic collaborative environment that will foster excellence and innovation in research, teaching and learning in the School, and to promote these School activities locally, nationally and internationally.

The successful applicant will provide excellent management to support the endeavours of staff and students within the School so they can fully develop their academic potential. The Dean of Law and Head of School will be passionate about growing the School and the power of legal education to transform lives and empower communities. This position is a member of the Faculty of Business and Law Executive and reports directly to the Executive Dean. The Dean of Law/Head of School will play a leading role in the development of the School’s strategy and portfolio of programs and facilities, as well as helping guide the development and operations of the Faculty.
