Here is an exceptional opportunity to develop and lead Public Health education and a research program in epidemiology, health services research or implementation science as a member of the Health Research Institute.
As the Professor/Associate Professor of Public Health, you will provide leadership and strategic direction fostering excellence in teaching and learning, research and professional engagement. You will also establish collaborative education and research projects both locally and nationally promoting international links and projects.
If you are successful, you will complete a 3-5 year term in a leadership role in the discipline, school or faculty and will provide expert disciplinary input into the strategy and operations of the faculty and representing the faculty externally.
This is an excellent opportunity to pursue scholarly advances and lead the growth of Public Health whilst providing oversight of the governance structure of the public health academic organisational unit.
To be successful,
- you will have a track record of nationally recognised research publications, higher degree research student supervision and success in securing competitive grant funding;
- National networks and connections within academia and industry related to public health;
- PhD in public health related field and research or industry expertise in Epidemiology, Health Services Research or Implementation Science. Ideally a public health qualification (MPH or equivalent);
- A current membership of, or continuing eligibility for membership of, the PHAA and CAPHIA;
We are open to receiving applications from candidates at an Academic Level D that are looking to develop into an Academic Level E.
