About the position
Reporting to the Director of Research Services, the Data and Reporting Officer (Research) provides oversight of the Bond University’s research reporting, analytics and research data management. The role drives reporting from the University’s research management system to support a range of internal stakeholder reporting requirements.
The Data and Reporting Officer (Research) supports the provision of accurate and timely data and analysis to support the University’s external reporting, including funders and government. As our research portfolio continues to grow rapidly, this role provides a unique opportunity to develop new data streams and innovative reporting to inform our future success.
The role works closely with other data teams, including Finance, Student Systems and Business Intelligence.
About the person
This interesting and diverse role is suited to someone with a Bachelors degree or equivalent demonstrated work experience in a relevant area along with extensive technical experience.
You will need to demonstrate experience in:
- Collating and reporting on research data on a monthly and ad hoc basis;
- Performing routine data validation & integrity checks;
- Reviewing financial data and draft acquittals;
- Producing reports and developing metrics to analyse and help drive research strategy and decision making;
- Supporting training for staff and students; and
- Managing data storage processes and providing support.
It is essential you have advanced skills in MS Excel, as well as databases and queries.
You will be a confident communicator, with excellent computer skills, both financial and analytical. The successful applicant will be self-led and will drive the research data agenda to benefit the University.
