Job Description
- Participate actively in research and development activities of new materials based on graphite and graphene
- Conduct scientific experiments in laboratory for assigned research projects
- Develop project plan and execute scientific programmes in a timely manner
- Recommend optimal laboratory procedures and techniques to achieve project goals
- Provide guidance, mentor and training to working team and regular review of needs to ensure proficiency of the team
- Develop manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products as engineer team leader
- Monitor and test processes and products found in all phases of production
- Develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
- Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
- Stay up to date with new and emerging manufacturing processes
- Create and present cost analysis reports to upper management
Qualifications & Prerequisites
- PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering is mandatory
- Well versed with nanomaterials in particular graphene production, characterization and manipulation
- More than five years of track record as a researcher on projects and immersion experience with research ecosystem and experience building research and pre-industrial projects
- Ability to resolve complex issues and make technical, administrative and procedural decisions and judgments
- Inclusive and a genuine team player
- Hands-on, analytical, empathetic, creative, passionate professional committed to ongoing process
- Well spoken and written English language ability is a must
- Adhere to high ethical standards
