Job Description
The research engineer will conduct laboratory experiences in support of a programme that aims to develop structural alloys with improved corrosion resistance. The work will involve the fabrication of novel alloys as well as electrochemical corrosion testing, along with analysis of the corrosion products (Raman, XRD, XPS and SEM). The successful candidate will also be expected to perform some adhoc addition admin duties related to safety and purchasing.
Job Requirements
Good honours degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related discipline. Basic knowledge of corrosion mechanisms or electrochemistry is also required.
