LCI Melbourne, previously the Academy of Design Australia, offers a unique Bachelor of Design Arts with majors in, Fashion & Costume Design, Graphic & Digital Design, Interior Design and Visual Arts. LCI Melbourne also offers higher education diplomas in Fashion Design and Graphic Design that can be used as a direct pathway into the Bachelor of Design Arts or as a pathway into work in a related field.

LCI Melbourne has affiliations with several European institutions that allow students to study overseas for a trimester or semester and receive credit towards their degree.

LCI Melbourne is now looking to appoint an outstanding academic leader as its next Dean.  The Dean will be one of the senior leaders for LCI Melbourne, responsible for the recruitment, supervision, and development of academic and student support staff. The Dean will articulate a vision that is congruent with the Vision, Mission and Values of LCI Education Network and consistent with the aspiration to offer Australia’s leading professional design arts education.

The Dean will be responsible for leading and facilitating the work of the Academic Board in developing, reviewing and administering the educational programs and policies of LCI Melbourne. The Dean is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the teaching programs, support services, educational experience and professional development meet the registration and accreditation requirements established by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) for LCI Melbourne and for complying with other requirements of the regulator.

The ideal candidate will be a vibrant and entrepreneurial person with a strong understanding of market needs and the ability to develop innovative curriculum with the highest levels of quality. A solid understanding of the Australian higher education sector regulatory environment and a minimum Masters degree in a relevant field will be required.
