Description
This position will work under the direction of Dr. David Robbins in the Department of Oncology, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center. Candidates should have a working knowledge of signal transduction and molecular biology, and an interest in identifying novel ways to attenuate Wnt signaling in colorectal cancer (see Sci Signal. 2017 Jun 27;10(485):eaak9916. doi: 10.1126/scisignal.aak9916 and Nat Commun. 2021 Sep 6;12(1):5263. doi: 10.1038/s41467-021-25634-z).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generation and design of hypothesis driven experiments 60% effort

  • Data analysis 25% effort

  • Presenting seminars and other forms of research communication 10%

  • Ensures all research is undertaken according to good research practice and guidance 5% effort

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to convey information effectively

  • Able to work independently

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Strong analytical skills

Education Requirements:

  • PhD in a biological science, or MD required
