Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively managing the general administrative work of the Associate Vice President Office (Education & CUHK Affairs), and serving as Assistant to provide secretarial support for the Associate Vice President - Education & CUHK Affairs;
- Coordinating with other staff of the Associate Vice President Office (Education & CUHK Affairs) to work closely with schools and administrative units across the University;
- Providing administrative support in committee matters including serving as secretary to committees under the purview of the Associate Vice President - Education & CUHK Affairs, drafting papers, preparing minutes and managing documents systematically;
- Providing administrative support to the Associate Vice President - Education & CUHK Affairs in various projects, in liaising and coordinating with relevant units of the University;
- Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President - Education & CUHK Affairs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above;
- At least 5 years’ working experience gained preferably in higher education institutions;
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Advanced organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills;
- High level time management skill and ability to work under pressure;
- Proactive, able to work independently and a good team player;
- Familiarity with the operational practices and processes of an international research university.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
