Learning Designer – REQ001997
Learning Transformation has a vacancy for a Learning Designer. The role will play a central part in supporting the implementation of key education transformation projects across UWS. These include curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, the use of digital and hybrid learning, and the development of the capability of academic and professional staff in cutting-edge approaches to learning and teaching.
Learning Transformation is a dedicated team comprising academics, learning designers and digital learning technologists, sitting within the Directorate of Learning and Teaching Enhancement. You will join us as we strive to continuously enhance learning, teaching and curriculum at UWS, in turn inspiring our students and wider University community and, through modern teaching and impactful research, continue to deliver innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.
This role may be of interest to learning technologists, or those with a background in academic development, education, or research, along with the relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable and proven experience in supporting the planning, implementing, and reviewing of new technology and approaches to learning design.
- Demonstrable and proven experience in supporting change in the areas of learning and teaching, learning and curriculum design, and learning technology.
- Knowledge of approaches to learning design and curriculum development.
- Experience of initiating collaborative working with a broad range of stakeholders (e.g. a project environment, external event, or creation of a special interest group).
- Excellent communication skills to deliver effective face-to-face and online support.
- Commitment to a culture of continual improvement and innovation.
