The Faculty of Technology are seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced individual, with an appropriate academic experience, to lead the School of Energy and Electronic Engineering.
The School engages in teaching and applied research in the fields of electronic engineering, energy and power systems, and renewable energy engineering. This combination provides a unique mix of subjects to advance the profile of future developments in addressing big societal challenges related to energy storage, renewable energy, automation and autonomous systems.
As Head of School you will be responsible for leading and managing the academic business of the School in relation to both strategic and operational matters. In this respect you will play a leading role and will be responsible for implementing plans at School level and will have significant responsibility for staff line management including all aspects of staff development. Approachable and visible you will work in partnership with the Faculty Executive Team and senior staff to provide decisive leadership.
