The Position

This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team undertaking independent research in the area of epitaxial growth of novel compound semiconductors nanostructures, with a view to publishing original and innovative results in refereed journals, present research at academic seminars and at national and international conferences, and collaborate with other researchers at a national level.

With no two days being the same, this role is integral to the delivery/support of a project hosted by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS), led by Chief Investigator Professor Hoe Tan at the ANU.

The Person

We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will have a PhD or progress towards a PhD in Physics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent, with a track record of independent research in the above fields as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. You will also have the ability to articulate and prosecute innovative research specifically in the area of epitaxial growth of novel compound semiconductors nanostructures.
