Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 519420) (to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Statistics or other related disciplines. They should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to those with a track record of planning and implementing observational studies or complex randomized controlled trials and producing high-quality publications. Strong statistical background and experience in handling large databases with STATA, R, SAS or SPSS would be highly desirable.
The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Sophia S.C. Chan on research projects related to primary health care interventions, health surveillance and COVID-19 rehabilitation. The duties include conducting literature review and assisting in research proposal and academic paper writing, data analysis and management, project coordination and research dissemination. Those with a passion for, and have done work on, promoting development of primary health care in Hong Kong would be desirable.
