The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position Instructor at the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine MU (with shorter working hours)

The Department of Public Health is an educational and research workplace of the Medical Faculty of MU. Provides teaching of students in theoretical and preclinical fields.

The call is open especially for junior researchers currently studying in Ph.D. study programs in the field of Public Health or the field related to the Public Health or are considering staring a Ph.D. studies soon. We are interested in attracting colleagues willing to work part-time (preferably 4-10 hours per week) on the current research and teaching activities of the Department or even start their research activities at the Department. We expect to start cooperation with 2-4 new colleagues.

The scope of your work will be:

  • participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace
  • preparation of the study and teaching materials
  • involvement in research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
  • share in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration

Required qualification:

  • completed university education in the field relevant for Public Health or equivalent education attained abroad
  • ability to work independently as a professional and scientist, including publishing activities
  • ability to participate actively in an international conference or seminar
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language, both written and spoken
  • fluent English (spoken and written)
  • active approach, initiative and willingness for further education
  • moral integrity
  • experience in the field or teaching experience is an advantage
