We are seeking to appoint a physical scientist (preferably with a PhD in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biophysics, Physics, or related disciplines) with experience on single molecule nanomechanical experiments applied to proteins. This is a single bond mechanochemistry project, aiming to investigate how mechanical forces activate chemical reactivity within the core of individual proteins using single molecule atomic force microscopy (AFM) and magnetic tweezers (MT). The project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust.
