The Dickson Poon School of Law, part of King’s College London, is based on The Strand, and sits at the heart of legal London. The school is ranked 15th in the world and 5th in UK for Law (QS World University Rankings 2022). 

The Dickson Poon School of Law is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to Lectureship with teaching expertise and research interests in Financial Law.  This is a post on the Academic Research and Education Pathway, which emphasises teaching, scholarship and innovation. The successful candidate will wish to gain further experience in a research-informed teaching role contributing to our online and on-campus delivery of Financial Law. The successful candidate will also be actively involved in the administration and academic life of a world leading law school. 

The teaching will include support for small group classes in the successful online International Corporate/Financial and Commercial Law LLM programmes and on-campus International Financial Law pathway (LLM).  The successful candidate will also undertake public engagement activities and carry out administrative duties in the Dickson Poon School of Law.    

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Dean.

The Dickson Poon School of Law has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the laws of England and Wales, European, International and Transnational Law. The School’s research interests cover all areas of public and private law and include the philosophy and sociology of law as well as doctrinal, empirical, historical, interdisciplinary and comparative approaches to the study of law. Its educational offering covers a broad range of legal disciplines and is home to a vibrant postgraduate research community. It also has a Professional Law Institute and a Legal Clinic.

Of particular relevance to this role are the School’s Online International Corporate/Financial and Commercial Law LLM and on campus LLM programmes with specialist pathways, including an International Financial Law pathway. 

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
