Research Engineer, Engineering / AI / Machine Learning

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.

The Candidate will be working on a sustainability and AI project, coupling physics-based models and data driven machine learning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Survey literature, learning and implement state-of-the-art techniques and tools (such as AI, deep learning, machine learning, etc) to solve challenging problems.)
• Physics-based modelling of vessels engines, and vessel itself under different operating conditions
• Algorithm design, coupling of physics-based model with AI methods for improved methods
• Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Have a Bachelor degree and background in Engineering, computing or related fields
