About the opportunity

The University of Sydney's ICT Service Management team are looking for an AV Senior Technician. This role will be responsible for the development and ongoing upkeep of technical and customer support capabilities across the AV support team through the delivery of effective training programs and knowledge management.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • develop and deliver training programs to ensure Av technician staff continually develop necessary skills
  • provide technical advice, guidance and direction to AV team members, acting as a point of escalation
  • liaise with the Client Design and Standards team to ensure all AV technician staff are upskilled to utilise the latest systems being used
  • grow and maintain a formal knowledge base for the wider AV support team
  • ensure effective and efficient onboarding of new AV technician staff.

About you

  • has relevant tertiary education qualifications
  • has prior experience planning and delivering training and knowledge to teams
  • has extensive experience with audio visual technology
  • demonstrated experience acting in a leadership or supervisory role and providing guidance to staff
  • has excellent stakeholder management skills, able to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
