An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences as lecturer in Healthcare Leadership and Management. The role predominantly focuses on developing teaching and student support on a range of Clinical programmes within the School such as Pharmacy and MSc Clinical Pharmacy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic team member who has current, or recent, experience of teaching healthcare leadership and management, either in a clinical or academic setting at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level leading to successful student outcomes. The post is ideal for an individual wanting to further develop an academic career and full support will be provided.

The main duties will be to plan, deliver and assess innovative and engaging teaching activities which provide a distinctive and exceptional student experience. Utilising appropriate assessment methods and approaches you will provide quality, personalised and timely feedback.

Ability to lead the management and delivery of modules would be preferable but we would urge candidates without this experience to apply as development and support will be provided if this is new to you.

You will also undertake the role of Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) to provide pastoral support.

The University offers an attractive range of staff benefits, including a discounted Gym membership. We are also open to discussing potential secondments or working arrangements with current employers.

We welcome applicants who bring a diversity of professional and/or lived experience from across communities who are currently underrepresented in our teams, including individuals from BME and LGBT+ communities, who would be positive role models for our students, colleagues and service users.

The role advertised is 0.5FTE.
