Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 519126), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with proven experience in biomedical sciences or a related discipline. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of cancer biology research and relevant experience in both in vitro and in vivo functional assays and using a diversified approach for mechanistic study.
The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team and work on projects related to mechanistic study and cancer drug development. He/She will investigate the tumorigenic mechanism of druggable targets in the Division of Esophageal and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, and collect specimens on a weekly rotation schedule. This post will provide an R&D platform for cancer drug development by translating basic research discovery to clinical application. He/She will be given an inter-institutional networking opportunity to work with different domain experts.
