About the School

The School of Health Sciences is educating tomorrows graduates in an environment that is contemporary, challenging, and adaptive to a rapidly evolving world. Our teaching programs are intrinsically interdisciplinary, and cover a broad range of professional and other disciplines in the clinical and non-clinical health sciences, and in sport-related disciplines. These areas are underpinned by a strong focus on research and research led teaching, and involves partnerships with a range of external organisations. Our programs include undergraduate degrees, Honours degrees, coursework Masters programs, and higher degree research programs (Masters and PhD).

The School’s programs combine strong interprofessional health and related competencies common to all health science and sport professionals with specialist discipline practice.

Our sport and exercise science program is a well-established 3-year undergraduate program accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Students can also progress to our Master of Research, Master of Philosophy, or Doctor of Philosophy programs. The sport and exercise science program has strong collaborations and partnerships with professional sport and community organisations within Western Sydney, nationally, and globally.

About You and the Role

We are seeking a forward thinking, dynamic, and innovative scholar to join us at the level of Professor (Level E) or Associate Professor (Level D) and take on a broad senior leadership role in Sport and Exercise Science.

You will be involved in a range of academic activities including the development, implementation, and teaching of subjects in Sport and Exercise Science, and will undertake research and supervisory responsibilities, including the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students in your area of expertise.

You will have expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas, with the ability to work across general areas of sport and exercise science:

  • Sport science in high performance sport
  • Applied physiology and nutrition in sport and exercise
  • Data analytics in sport and exercise

This position is based at the Campbelltown campus, however multi-campus activities requiring travel between campuses and clinical sites may be required.

Remuneration Package:

Academic Level D - $190,689 to $209,441 p.a., (comprising Salary of $161,573 to $177,601 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Academic Level E - $243,832 p.a., (comprising Salary of $206,995 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
