An exciting 2 years 9 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) OMICS Research Scientist position is available to lead and manage an exciting new KTP project. The successful candidate will conduct research aimed at applying and validating a new spatial OMICS workflow combined with mass-spectrometry (MS) imaging to greatly improve the understanding of disease processes in prostate cancer and facilitate its implementation in clinical settings. This position, at the nexus of industry and academia, in the fields of tumor Metabolism and Immunology, will be held at the Micromass UK (Part of Waters Corporation in the UK) Research Headquarter in Wilmslow and in joint collaboration with the newly established lab of Prof Paul Townsend and Dr Olivier Cexus at the University of Surrey.

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or related disciplines, be motivated and have independent thinking, strong organisational and communication skills. Experience in multi’OMIC and high dimensional analysis and an interest in using/applying the latest technologies in cancer research is an advantage.
