We are seeking to recruit a post doctoral Research Fellow to work with Prof Cortese on a project funded by the European Research Agency/UKRI (PI: Prof Koushik Maharatna, School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton) on the environmental, genetic, epigenetic and metabolomic factors contributing to mental health issues in adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.

The post-doctoral Research Fellow will contribute to the recruitment and assessment of participants via cognitive and psychopathological assessment, as well as to data analysis and study publications.

The candidate will have a DClinPsy or PhD in psychology or in any area related to psychopathology. It is strongly desirable that the post-doc has prior experience in cognitive (developmental) and development psychopathology. Other criteria are: autonomy through all stages of cognitive and psychopathological assessment, and proven ability to express ideas and disseminate findings effectively and good writing skills. Experience with The Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (the CANTAB) is also desirable. Applicants should be able to work independently as well as co-operate with other members of the research team.

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.

We will provide you with additional benefits that will make your life easier, such as a generous holiday allowance and additional university closure days.
