Job Description
The Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of the United Arab Emirates (UAEU) invites you to participate in the competition for the position of a research assistant for a joint research within the framework of the project "High Order Elements in Finite Fields". This is a joint project with Prof. Victor Bovdi and Dr. Adama Diene.
The nominal start date is February of 25, 2023.
The position is located at the main UAE campus in Al Ain.
The application package must include a cover letter, list of publications and a detailed resume.
Minimum Qualification
PhD
Preferred Qualification
In accordance with the objectives of the project, the candidate should have knowledge and a good list of publications in the field of finite field theory. Knowledge of the GAP algebra computer package is required. A PhD degree in the field of Algebra is obligatory. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.
