Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Environmental Modelling within UCD School Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy and UCD School Biosystems and Food Engineering.
Applications are invited for a five year fixed-term Lecturer/Assistant Professor post in Environmental Modelling. Applicants must have a PhD in engineering, environmental technology, bioeconomy, GIS or a related area, a strong demonstrable commitment to research and international publication, an ability to teach at University level, a capacity for graduate student supervision, a strong technical and geo-spatial modelling competency, a commitment to translating the fruits of research into innovation and impact, excellent interpersonal skills, and a capacity and enthusiasm for working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary context between the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy and the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering, the research institutes (UCD Earth Institute, UCD Energy Institute, BiOrbic Bioeconomy SFI Research Centre) and the wider academic community.
The successful candidate will contribute half of their teaching workload into modules of relevance in each School respectively as well as contributing to the College of Engineering and Architecture and the wider university. It is expected that the successful candidate will undertake their principal administrative duties in the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar Salary scale: 58,206 - 92,172 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
