About the role
The UTS School of Communication is currently recruiting for a Senior Lecturer, Digital and Social Media in a balanced Teaching and Research role. The industry sector is growing rapidly, looking to the higher education sector to equip graduates to be job ready with solid skills and focus creative talent.
You will be required to:
- Undertake UG and PG teaching in line with global standards, including subject coordination, student consultation, marking and assessment design.
- Make a distinguished contribution to curriculum development and design across the discipline.
- Actively engage in innovative teaching and learning practices, integrating research, theoretical concepts, and reflective critical thinking.
- Contribute to HDR supervision.

About you
As a Senior Lecturer you will have outstanding contributions to scholarship and research in the discipline as evidenced by ongoing academic research outputs, and a distinguished record of high quality teaching at UG and PG level.
You will also have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline in digital and social media, in addition to significant experience.
- A deep knowledge and expertise in one or more fields directly related to digital and social media.
- Excellence in tertiary teaching, with the ability to develop curriculum for UG and PG studies in one or more fields.
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $136,526 to $156,789 pa (Level C)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position isfull-time and offered on a continuing basis.
