The Health and Clinical Analytics team requires an experienced data coordinator and a statistical programmer to support our team of analysts working on a suite of innovative Bayesian adaptive trials and tools for Bayesian network based clinical decision-support.

The Senior Data Coordinator and Statistical Programmer will support the implementation of complex and novel investigator-led clinical studies by providing technical expertise in data modelling, data monitoring and data management. The role will support a team of data scientists and statisticians in their work by ensuring high levels of data quality, while developing solutions to streamline and automate data monitoring and reporting processes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• coordinate the procurement, characterisation and manipulation of clinical research data for the senior data scientists
• develop automated digital pipelines for data curation, summary, visualisation and analysis
• collaborate in the design of decision support tools and analyses for clinical research projects
• assist senior analysts in performing data analyses
• manage the development of analytic reports and research publications
• ensure that ethics guidelines, standards and WHS requirements are met.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science or science
• experience in programming in R and/or Python and working with data schemas (e.g., basic SQL skills)
• extensive experience in manipulating complex data and developing analytic reports
• expertise in documenting and following analysis plans, experimental design, ethics submissions and grant applications
• excellent stakeholder management skills, including written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary project team
• a good understanding of good clinical practice and ICH guidelines
• a strong working understanding and current knowledge of relevant aspects of Work Health and Safety protocols.
