Role Description
About the Role
The post holder will be contributing to research work on the project and supporting dissemination of the project outcomes. The project aims to produce optimal design options of a sustainable cooling hub capable to satisfy various cooling demands that exist in the community of small-scale fishers. The hub will maximise renewable energy potentials through solar energy utilisation and energy storage. The researcher will be responsible for modelling and optimisation of cooling systems, focusing on solar-based cooling, energy storage, and systems integration.
About You
You will be educated to doctoral level (Research Fellow) or close to completion (Research Assistant) in a relevant subject with the necessary technical knowledge and experience such as thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, thermo-fluid systems simulation and programming. Experience with energy and building simulation software (e.g. TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, and Modelica) and general programming language are desirable.
You will have experience in composing project deliverables, delivering effective presentations, and be able to assist in project integration workshops and other meetings. Project planning is also an important skill for this post along with the ability to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance, and initiative.
