The Faculty of Engineering & Science have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Embedded Electronic Systems Technician. The successful candidate should want to influence and make a real difference to the specialist IT/electronics provision within this vibrant academic environment. The technician must be proficient in a wide range of relevant skills enabling them to work across the various specialisms in both engineering and science.

The role holder will be expected to apply their knowledge of electronics and electronic principles, along with expertise in the end use of scientific and engineering equipment, covering a wide spectrum of applications.  They will be an integral member of the Faculty’s existing electronics and IT services team. There will be a requirement to analyse academic user/system needs and requirements and make appropriate recommendations.  Also work to develop and implement modern and future solutions for electronic engineering education and research, providing ongoing support for both staff and students.
