Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health within the Telehealth Core:

Research Assistant (UX Research)

At the Telehealth Core we leverage technology & design to accelerate research and improve outcomes in behavioural health & chronic diseases. We focus on delivering tailored interventions in healthcare by building digital tools and harnessing the insights from users and patients.

We are looking for a Research Assistant (User Experience Research) who is excited about transforming care for older adults. In this role, you will lead the testing and evaluation efforts towards the design and development of impactful patient-centred tools.

As a UX Researcher, you will be responsible for developing greater insights into the needs and desires of our users. The role involves interfacing with users of our research prototypes, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data, and working closely together with stakeholders and other team members

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll carry out qualitative and quantitative research on our digital prototypes by conducting user interviews, usability tests and other research activities.
  • You’ll recruit suitable participants, document your findings meticulously and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • You’ll present your academic research findings to stakeholders, and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary researchers from health, medicine and computing, engineering teams and other parties who support our innovation efforts.

Requisites

  • At least 2 years of experience in conducting user interviews and usability tests
  • Experience with quantitative or qualitative research
  • Experience with recruitment
  • Highly proficient in both English (both oral and written skills for academic research)
  • Strong presentation and listening skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • B.A. or M.A. in Psychology, Applied Statistics, HCI or other behavioral sciences

Good-to-have

  • Experience with integrating user research into a design prototype
  • Experience with Figma, AdobeXD or similar prototyping tools
  • Experience with A/B testing, card sorting, focus groups or interview studies
  • Evidence of academic writing ability (e.g. research paper)
  • Adept in interpreting Google Analytics

Qualifications

  • B.A. or M.A. in Psychology, Applied Statistics, HCI or other behavioral sciences
