The Edinburgh Napier Business School is one of the largest modern Business Schools in Scotland and offers expertise, teaching and research across: Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Law, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, and Festival & Events Management.

Our industry links are second to none and we have developed excellent connections with the corporate community and organisations such as Scottish Enterprise, and the Chamber of Commerce. We also act as official advisers to the Scottish Government.

We are currently looking to appoint a Lecturer in Operations & Supply Chain Management. This position is also open to ambitious Early Career Academics with whom we will generate development plans aligned to our career pathways on our Early Career Academic Development Programme.

The Role:

As Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in supporting and developing the delivery of operations and supply chain management modules. This will put you in an excellent position to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of our portfolio whilst supporting our ambitious growth plans.

As part of the Management Subject Group, you will join an ambitious, growing team consisting of academics on Enterprise, Learning and Teaching, Professional Practice, and Research pathways, who make significant contributions across all strands of endeavour.

The post will also provide you with the remit to influence the direction of our diverse and vibrant curriculum going forward and become involved in both module and programme leadership, providing contribution to our international deliveries in, for example Hong Kong and Singapore, adding to our growing Global Online Portfolio.

Similarly, you will be in an excellent position to use your knowledge and experience to take responsibility for developing, designing and delivering teaching and student-centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice, within your assigned areas of responsibility.

The role will also provide you with the time to conduct individual and collaborative research projects, contributing to the research profile of the School. We envisage you will be aligned to one of our research centres or research groups, such as Napier Applied Business Research for Society (NABRS).

Should you also have related industry experience and/or professional body engagement, we would be particularly interested in speaking with you.
