ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you will support the Principal Investigator in delivery of research activity funded by the UK Space Agency as part of European Space Agency microgravity research platforms: (1) pre-/post-International Space Station (ISS) campaign and (2) artificial gravity bedrest campaign. You will work with colleagues to support preparations and testing on these two research campaigns. This will include developing and testing an appropriate laboratory setup using motion capture (optical cameras and inertial sensors) and electromyography equipment, with the aim to produce a portable system that can be travelled with for testing at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre (Houston, USA), ESA’s European Astronaut Centre (Cologne, Germany) and the bedrest facility in Planica (Slovenia).
