Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University) is a private, state-accredited, English-language research university in Bremen. We are offering Pre-Degree, Bachelor, Master or PhD programs in three schools: School of Science, School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences and are involved in the professional development of specialists and managers and in the transfer of knowledge. This initiative is intended to improve integration and interdisciplinarity across the three schools in teaching, learning and research. In this context, a new academic position as Assistant Professor (research and teaching) has been opened in Management Science.

Accordingly, Constructor University invites applications from interested candidates for the following positions, to be filled ideally in August 2023, or sooner:

Assistant Professor in Management Science and Business Analytics  (m-f-d)

(Full-time, tenure track)

Your responsibilities:

  • In this position, you will support our research and teaching activities in the field of Management, with an emphasis on the development of online and hybrid teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be teaching lectures in the field and advise students during their studies. Supervision of Master and PhD students is also expected. The candidate is expected to engage in innovative research in Management Science, with a strong background in computational methods, data analytics and modeling.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • PhD degree in Management Science and related fields, Economics, Econometrics and related fields, Finance, Physics and related fields, Machine Learning and related fields. Strong publication record Proven experience and success in teaching in international and diverse environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interest in innovative teaching methods Professional fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus Intercultural experience and competencies will be considered as additional assets
