We are inviting applications for three Senior Professional Clinician positions in our School of Psychology starting in 2023.

You will deliver the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice in the training areas of:

  • Psychology
  • Kaupapa Māori Psychology
  • Health Psychology

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role

In addition to the urgent need to train more psychologists, there is increasing recognition that the profession of Psychology needs registered practitioners from diverse backgrounds to work in a wide range of fields, in rural as well as urban locations. The Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice is a distance programme which uses an integrated, competency-based curriculum and a cohort-based training model to prepare interns for registration under the Psychologist scope of practice.

The appointees will be required to provide supervision an ovdersee the learning and development of students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice; work as part of the collaborative programme teaching team and; be responsible for safe and effective delivery of training for students seeking registration under the Psychologist scope of practice.

The appointment will be as Senior Professional Clinician, at a level commensurate with qualifications and experience.
