Multicath Senior Research Assistant
The Multicath team are in urgent need of a researcher to cover a vacancy. You’ll be joining a large, multi-centre, government-funded research trial which involves people who self-catheterise. We’ll train you in participant engagement and the administration of clinical data.
The role
You’ll be appointed as a Senior Research Assistant. The trial compares the sole use of sterile disposable catheters with mixed use of both sterile and reusable catheters. Working as part of a larger team, you’ll help us identify and recruit participants, randomise them to one of the two routes through the trial and then follow them up monthly for 12 months.
About you
You are likely to have some background in healthcare or social care. While this could be practical experience, you might be a Qualified Nurse, or possibly be a postgraduate researcher with relevant interests or even a PhD. Above all, we’re seeking someone who can communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and members of the public. A standard/enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
