Job Description
The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of Water Resources. The research assistant should be knowledgeable have basic knowledge of groundwater as well applications of GIS and remote sensing in water resources. The candidate should be able to conduct research individually and within a group. The preferred candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills including experience in writing reports, manuscripts and/or proposals. Master and PhD students are welcome to apply.
Minimum Qualification
An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following:
- Good technical writing skills
- Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.
Preferred Qualification
- BSc or MSc in civil engineering or Water Resources.
- Demonstrable willingness to support work
- Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
- Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
