Agile Lead, Agile

Applications are invited for a Temporary post until October 2027 (and Temporary panel) of Agile Lead within UCD Agile.

UCD Agile is an operational excellence unit supporting the working of UCD in three broad areas - business transformation, operations management and improvement, and capability development in these two areas. This remit is being extended to include the centre of excellence for the Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (POST). Through this extension, UCD Agile will a be source of direct assistance for those pursuing operational excellence, as well as through the existing modes of support - advice, guidance, training, mentoring.

UCD Agile is the active sponsor of the University's Work Smarter Together community of practice, an important support for the collaboration and creativity we see across the community of staff and faculty who support our teaching, research and scholarship. UCD Agile will support the university community in making UCD a better place to teach, research, work and learn. Its focus is on the University's support and operations ecosystem with the focusing question underpinning UCD Agile's work being "how do we make the best use of our resources to the best effect?"

`Best effect' relates to the value our work delivers to its intended beneficiaries, to how it enables our reaching our strategic objectives, and to how we ensure a sustainable University in doing this.

`Best use' relates to efficiency (doing things right) and effectiveness (doing the right things).

`Our resources' are our people, their time, their creativity and dedication, as well the financial and environmental inputs we configure and use in delivering the support ecosystem.

The Agile Lead will work closely with the Director, partnering in the initiation and development of UCD Agile's offering, developing and leading projects, including strategic projects, acting as a strategic resource to the Units and Schools of the University, and delivering the spectrum of supports and services that form Agile's offering.

UCD Agile continues to develop and evolve over time, requiring the post holder take a lead role in shaping that evolution and development. 95 Admin Off Ia Salary scale: 64,106 - 74,911 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
