THE POST 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Careers and Employability Adviser within the Careers Team in Student Services at UWS.  You will provide careers advice and guidance to students of all levels and disciplines, contributing to the development of student employability and employer engagement based at our London Campus. 

UWS’ Student Experience Programme seeks to embed employability within the curriculum, creating opportunities throughout the Student Journey and developing world class graduates.  The Careers and Employability Adviser will play a central role in the delivery of this strategy, also providing a consultative role to University Schools in planning and delivering careers activities including core delivery within our new Aspire module, whilst developing student facing employer engagement partnerships.

The successful candidate should have/be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Possess a post-graduate qualification in Careers Guidance or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a careers advisory post and delivery of career planning/careers education
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Up to date knowledge of the graduate labour market
  • Experience of working within FE/HE is desirable.
