About the Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA)
Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) will transform the way we care for Older Australians. ARIIA is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Health to support increased capability of the aged care workforce through translational research training and projects. ARIIA will work with the aged care sector including consumers, aged care providers, aged care workforce, researchers, vendors to the aged care sector, peak bodies, and advocacy groups to contribute to the modernisation of the aged care workforce. ARIIA will translate research into practice to and pave the way for sector wide improvements, making a real and meaningful change to the aged care sector.
About the Role
The Administration Officer will work within the Workforce Capacity and Capability (WCC) workstream within ARIIA under the general direction of the Senior Research Fellow (or delegate). The Administration Officer will provide project and administration support to the WCC workstream to deliver ARIIA’s Innovator Training Program, Innovator Network and research activities.
Some of your tasks will include:
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external queries to the WCC workstream.
- Provide project and administrative support services for presentations, meetings, and reports.
- Assist with marketing activities and events
- Ensure databases are up to date and assist with data collation, and preparation of reports.

About You
As an excellent communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills you will be comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders. Your sound knowledge of contemporary administrative systems, software, and practices have given you the ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a complex organisation.
To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate:
- Relevant combination of administration and project support experience and/or tertiary qualification and/or training
- The ability to exercise initiative along with a flexible and collaborative approach to support a face-paced, dynamic team.
- Well‐developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and commit to the requirements of confidentiality within a professional work team.
