Job Description

The project needs a highly trained research fellow who can:

  1. conduct scientific research and play a pivotal role in detailing and conducting the dental experiments for correlated/complementary characterization techniques/platforms, including nuclear microscopy, immunocytochemistry, non-linear optical process, etc
  2. perform statistical analysis for comparative evaluations between groups/domains
  3. perform necessary lab maintenance
  4. prepare/draft scientific publications
  5. work well independently and effectively as part of a team 

Qualifications

Qualification: PhD in Oral Sciences
Years of experience: at least 3 years in relevant dental/cariology research

Knowledge and skills required:

  1. tooth sectioning (hard  tissue microtome) and morphological characterization (stereopmicroscope)
  2. enamel characterization techniques/platforms (such as polarized light microscopy)
  3. have strong background in microscopic/imaging work. Experience with confocal microscopy and immunohistochemistry is an advantage
