About the opportunity

The Integration ETL Support Specialist is a member of the Enterprise Integration and Data team and is responsible for overall implementation and for providing high-level support for the ETL/ELT components of an integration solution, including data extraction, change data capture, transformation, cleansing, loading and aggregation. This position is responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of the end-to-end data transformation process, including scheduling, error handling and daily maintenance and troubleshooting.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • proactively monitor and liaise with customers and relevant stakeholders regarding any incidents or status updates in a timely and clear manner
  • develop and implement high quality, reusable, and maintainable solutions for ingesting, transforming, cleansing, storing, and managing large data sets from various sources as required
  • work with the design/development team in validating, testing, and promoting the components through the various environments
  • participate in the Governance Review Board to ensure ETL standards and principles are followed
  • analyse and troubleshoot data and/or workflow related issues by investigating the ETL/ELT mappings or via SQL interactions with databases.

About you

  • tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • 3+ years of experience with Informatica Powercenter/IICS
  • experience working in the higher education sector or student related applications (desirable)
  • deep knowledge of databases including SQL/PLSQL, particularly SQL Server and Oracle
  • ETL/ELT design and development, including optimization and tuning activities
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written at the conceptual and technical level.
