We are excited to invite applications for a Scientific Project Manager position funded by the EU, as part of a new European Framework integrating veterinary, medical and environmental health research (One Health EJP - https://onehealthejp.eu/). The position will be based in the Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences at the University of Surrey, within the School of Veterinary Medicine in Guildford, Surrey. You will be part of and will undertake research and project support in a vibrant, inter-disciplinary research environment with a strong international reputation and be part of a wider network. The post is part of the One Health EJP consortium, an EU funded partnership between 44 partners, including acclaimed food, veterinary and medical laboratories and institutes across Europe and the Med-Vet-Net Association. The ideal candidates will have a project management background with a strong interest in research underpinning the threats posed by zoonotic pathogens and antimicrobial resistance.
You will be based in the School of Veterinary Medicine on the Manor Park campus on the edge of Guildford, which is close to London and benefits from excellent rail, air and road connections. You will be part of a rapidly growing and dynamic department and a wider Faculty network of scientists. The post holder will be required to travel in the UK and abroad and work closely with colleagues on cross-functional and interdisciplinary projects at the collaborating institutes.
