About the Role

An opportunity has become available for a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Quality, Legal and Risk (QLR) Project Coordinator to join our WIL Transformation Project team. This is a crucial role to support the uplift of WIL process and procedures across the institution and strive to achieve Swinburne’s moon shot 1. There are nine strategic work packages (WP) as part of Swinburne’s WIL Transformation program, and this role will take a lead role in WP 4: Review and redevelopment, where needed, of approaches and instruments relating to legal, risk management, and quality assurance aspects of WIL.

As the Project Coordinator, WIL QLR, you will develop and organise procedures and approaches to establish institution-wide WIL quality assurance standards, risk management, and legal agreements based on best-practice, evidence informed WIL and benchmarking of employability practice across the industry.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Experience navigating legal issues and standards, quality assurance mechanisms and risk management within a large and complex institution, with demonstrated involvement in the delivery of outcomes.
  • Understanding of current risks and issues relating to WIL activities, in particular the complexities and interconnectedness of quality assurance, risk management and legal frameworks.
  • High level stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of the higher education policy, academic and operational context, and WIL ideas and practices is highly desirable

Qualifications

  • A degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
