**Based at PG Paper’s Head Office in Greenock, with occasional travel to Paisley**

Salary Range Up to £40k per annum with potential for performance-based bonus, £6k personal development budget, and an opportunity to register free to charge for a higher degree (Masters or PhD).

The role

We seek a Data Scientist to develop data analytical capabilities by leveraging company’s in-house and external data, to develop actionable insight for client engagement, retention, and experience. This role is also required development of dApps for secure and traceable document management. You will benefit from direct engagement and support from both the company senior management and academic teams and there is potential for post project employment subject to performance.

You grow with us – Many of our KTP associates are offered permanent roles and continue to provide support to projects as part of a team and autonomously.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • MSc in Computer/ Data Science, Electronic Engineering (2.1) Experience in development and application of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. Hands-on experience in developing Deep Leaning (DL) and eXplainableAI (XAI) enabled data science pipelines and services. High level Python and Java programming experience. Hands-on experience in developing dApp with Ethereum or Hyperledger. Ability to codify business logic with Web3 technologies and smart contracts. Ability to analyse, design, develop, and validate integrated data science pipelines in varied and diverse business context, preferably in a research and development context A comprehensive understanding of data science process to answer challenging business questions, address issues of data bias, and present data finding to non-technical staff. Experience in software design, documentation and management. Experience in Data Engineering (ETL/ELT processes, stream analytics), preferably with cloud and external data sources. Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud services e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP.  Experience of deploying scalable data science pipelines and services in production environment through DevOps.
