The role will manage the Student Engagement Officers and is responsible for the delivery of the Welcome operations, institutional peer mentoring scheme and other enhancement-focused projects as identified by the Head of Student Engagement and Success to support students as they join the university, keep them engaged, respond to their needs, and support their success.
The role holder will:
- Provide line-management for the Student Engagement Officers and oversee the supervision of any temporary contract staff working in the team.
- Deliver all aspects of line management for the above, including recruitment, induction, appraisals, performance management, target setting, one-to-one meetings, team meetings and staff development initiatives.

- Provide detailed analysis and narratives of data assessing outputs and impacts of engagement activities and interventions for university committees and senior audiences of the university, and at external events where appropriate.
