The Institute for Sustainability | University of Surrey is offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow position in the area of Systems Thinking applying to sustainability and complexity. This is a fixed term contract position available for up to two and a half years, starting as soon as possible.
In this role, the Research Fellow would lead several research initiatives and provide essential support in the delivery of large research project(s), as part of the Institute's programme. The Fellow will be joining a transdisciplinary team of other scientists, innovators and industry experts from the University and beyond.
The successful candidate will be in charge of leading key research programmes in line with their research interests and also facilitate the development of systems-based methodologies and approaches.
The ideal candidates should hold a PhD with significant experiences in applying systems thinking to either or both the social and natural sciences. We welcome applicants from a diverse background in a wide range of disciplines, including sociology and computer science.
