University College Birmingham are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to provide effective support, information and guidance to applicants and students with mental health difficulties, developing strategies for successful learning. You will join the Student Services team, providing support for student welfare, engagement, health and wellbeing, promoting an exemplary student experience.
The successful candidate will act as UCB’s point of contact for prospective and current learners with mental health needs; supporting these individuals through the full student cycle and liaising with relevant internal and external teams to ensure a coordinated approach. You will also take an active role in the delivery of staff training in order to raise awareness of the service and wellbeing issues across the organisation.
Applications must be supported by a professional qualification in a relevant discipline, suitable experience in a statutory, voluntary or educational setting, in addition to evidence of recent and relevant continuous professional development.
In order to meet the needs of the service, flexibility in relation to working hours is essential.
