With over 50 years of academic excellence and having again been named the UK's number one University for social mobility, the University of Bradford has continued to grow its international reputation and innovative course provision. With over 12,000 students, the University is pioneering in developing new course subjects, reflecting and anticipating the needs of employers, students, communities, and society.
Pharmacy teaching at the University of Bradford dates back to 1927. In January 2018, we became the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences (SPMS) after the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics and Clinical Sciences joined the Bradford School of Pharmacy. We have an outstanding reputation in research and education, including educational innovation. Our Team-Based Learning has been recognised through the Collaborative Award in Teaching Excellence. We are in the world's top 250 departments of Pharmacy & Pharmacology in the QS World University Rankings (2017). SPMS delivers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes with a strong emphasis on lifelong learning.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can join our vibrant team to lead sourcing of student placements, initially with a focus on pharmacy, from external health and social care providers, in public, private and voluntary sectors; this will ensure that the pipeline of placements can meet current student needs and that they can be grown to increase future student intakes.
You will have an honours degree in a relevant discipline, and/or professional qualifications, and experience in stakeholder relationship building and project management. You will contribute to the School's continuing success by setting up and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, both externally, with placement providers, and internally, with academic and professional services staff.
The University of Bradford is an equal-opportunity employer which welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and supports an inclusive work environment for its staff. The university is committed to providing a supportive and developmental environment to all staff through mentoring by experienced academic colleagues and the maintenance of effective personal development plans and processes.
